brain overload

My brain feels like it's been switched to some higher gear that it can't keep up with.

With Jeremy Hinzman's deportation date only eight days away, it's crunch time for the Campaign. The deadline for my Spinal Network chapter is October 1, so that's crunch time, too. The election - and these infernal polls - here in Canada are weighing heavily on my mind. And too many bits of US election crap are trickling through my defences.

The Red Sox are on the brink of first place in the division - it's baseball crunch time, too - and I can barely focus on it. Usually I'm completely obsessed by now.

Thank goodness that most nights there's a game to absorb my attention. Nothing switches off the rest of my brain and relieves the pressure like watching baseball. I'm also swimming again, now that the hordes of summer-camp kids have left the Y, which is great for stress reduction. And thank goodness for my dogs.
