slime

Free Writer sent me this amusing news from Biology Daily, certainly not a site I would have seen on my own.

Dr Kelly B Miller and Dr Quentin D Wheeler, two entomologists, have discovered three species of slime mold beetles, and named them after three very slimy people. The beetles are called Agathidium bushi, Agathidium cheneyi, and Agathidium rumsfeldi.

Check it out, along with the press release with a picture of one of the beetles. By the release date, I see this is somewhat dated news that I missed, but if I missed it, perhaps you did, too.
