Despite my asking wmtc readers to vote for a different blog, more than 200 votes were cast for we move to canada as Best Canadian Blog in the 2008 Weblog Awards. And not one of them was mine. I'm really touched.
The other fine progressive Canadian blogs on the list - Abandoned Stuff, Buckdog and Calgary Grit, in alphabetical order - also had strong showings. Attack of the Redneck Mommy got more votes than all of us put together, which makes me happy.
I never understood why my suggestion of teaming up to endorse one blog bothered some people so much, but the laws of unintended consequences are too powerful for me to comprehend.
Ezra Levant, whose neo-con blowhard rantings I once defended in these pages, appears to have won the day. For full results, check here.
