Our successful fundraising drive for Tim and Cathy Baskin ended rather abruptly, and we weren't sure what happened (see comments here).
We think the final total dropped because the site deducted the fee for their service, a small percentage of the total. Also, Cathy chose to end the fundraising when we reached the stated total, rather than continue until the deadline. I think she just felt more comfortable with that.
Anyone who would still like to donate, or wants to donate again, can send a cheque directly to Tim & Cathy. Email me and I'll put you in touch. They haven't yet found a decent car in their price range, but they're looking.
