My mother's flight is delayed (what's new), so while we wait...
On Monday of Thanksgiving weekend, we met our friends James and Lori in Toronto's High Park for a pup play date.
Tala and Cody are always happy to see their friends Denim and Cobalt. But Allan and I were especially happy to finally take them to High Park. We had been waiting until Tala was a bit more mature and settled in, since the off-leash area is not completely fenced in.
Now that we've tried it, I think we'll go there for special park time instead of Jack Darling in Port Credit. It's no farther away, and while some gas-line construction is in progress at Jack Darling, this is an excellent substitute. The off-leash play area is large, and there's a great loop of trails and walking paths. Tala has to be on-leash for much of that, because there are bicycles and other non-dog traffic, but there's plenty of off-leash for her and it makes a nice mini-hike.
Here are a few samples of James' photos from that day; more are here. And if you like this, check back, as I think James is still uploading. It's great having a photographer for a friend. We don't bring a camera, and still end up with such nice photos.
After the park, Allan and I had a pub lunch, then home for baseball, and the Red Sox won. That's my idea of a lovely Thanksgiving.
