If you are in Toronto, London (Ontario) or Vancouver on Thursday, please stop by demonstrations in support of two Iraq War resisters.
On October 8 and October 9, Patrick Hart and Matt Lowell will receive decisions in their Pre-Removal Risk Assessments and Humanitarian & Compassionate Applications to remain in Canada.
On October 9, we will either be celebrating the Refugee Board's decision to let these courageous people stay in Canada, or expressing our anger at the Harper Government's decision to turn them over to the Bush war machine.
Since the deportations of both Corey Glass and Jeremy Hinzman were stayed - and since Joshua Key received a very positive decision in his ongoing case - and since the House of Commons has already voted on the matter - and since the majority of Canadians believe US war resisters should be allowed to stay in Canada - we hope and expect that the Harts and Matt Lowell will be allowed to stay in this country.
But no matter what the decisions, you can make your voice heard.
