Does anyone here watch "American Dad" besides us?
In last week's episode, there was an extended movie allusion, and for the life of me I can't remember what movie it's from. It's on the tip of my tongue, but I can't retrieve it from my swiss-cheese-like brain. "A Simple Plan"? Maybe?
If you saw the episode, it's the scene where a police officer finds a "turd made of pure gold," his lust for which causes him to do evil. The scene ends with his wife pouring rat poison into his coffee. Is it from "A Simple Plan"? I think so, but I'm not sure. None of the American Dad fan sites picked up the reference yet. (And why not??)
I was so annoyed with myself for missing out on taping two weeks worth of new Simpsons/Family Guy/American Dad. I know they'll be re-run incessantly, but I won't know when. Damn.
And by the way, it's not really urgent. Lately people don't understand my lame sense of humour.
