happy opening day!

It's officially spring: baseball is back! Since TV rules the world, Opening Day 2005 is actually at night, and it's only one game, but it's the one that counts: Yankees vs. Red Sox.

There's a terrific pre-season wrap up here, at an online magazine called Black Table. For each team, Will Leitch links to one blog:
The team logos are linked to the best weblog about each team, though it's possible we just missed yours, so don't be mad. As much as some might believe weblogs are the exclusive property of New York media rejects, the best use of the medium is by baseball fans, many of whom are professional writers by day and baseball nerds by night. No real fan of a team can survive without checking out these sites on a daily basis. So dig in.
For the Crimson Hose of Boston, Will picks our very own Joy Of Sox. Pretty cool!

Despite my discomfort with my new loyalties, my love of this great game transcends even my most passionate team allegiance. I'm here to enjoy the ride.
