routine

Every morning, I walk my dogs, give them biscuits, make coffee, and sit down at my computer. First I check my email, then I look at headlines.

This is what I've seen this week so far:

Sunday, May 1: Violence in Iraq Claims More Than 100 Lives in Past 3 Days

Monday, May 2: 35 Iraqis Killed as Leaders Seek to Fill Cabinet Posts

Tuesday, May 3: 13 Are Killed by Car Bombings in Baghdad and Mosul; 12 Die in U.S. Raid Near Syrian Border

Wednesday, May 4: Many killed in Baghdad violence; At least 23 people have been killed in several attacks targeting security forces in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

Thursday, May 5: Clash at Iraq checkpoint kills 15

Friday, May 6: Suicide Bombers Kill at Least 26 in Separate Strikes in Iraq; Insurgents Press Attacks on Iraq Security Forces, Killing 22

What a relief to know the US has everything under control.

It's heartbreaking, yes. But it's important to remember: it's not a tragedy, it's a crime.

Laura,

I found this on CraigsList.com the day after the election.

It really broke me up. No, didn't contact the guy because I voted for neither.
