Allan told me he's been seeing this lovely family, always in the same cove at the end of our street. Last night on the way home from dinner, the three of us looked for them, and found them busily pecking the grass for insects. When I crept too close, one of the parents hissed me back.
This morning on my walk with Cody, I took my camera. They don't let you get any closer than this - if you approach on the shore, they paddle away.

Nice, ain't it? Just don't let them feed on your lawn.
Yeah! The lake and parks are near enough that the geese don't bother with our lawn. But the raccoons make up for that.
