The second IRB hearing for war resister Skyler James began yesterday and is continuing today.
James fled to Canada to escape homophobic persecution in the US military. She was denied refugee status, then appealed, and the federal court ordered that the IRB give her a new hearing. She says she is optimistic about her chances.
