where to donate to people of gaza (gta)

I received this by forwarded email. I don't have personal knowledge of the group or how they are actually getting the donations to needy people, but it comes through the well-respected Palestine House in Mississauga. Better to take a chance and donate something that may or may not get there, then to not try at all.
Ommahat Without Borders / Mothers Without Borders

January 4th, 2009: a group of mothers met to coordinate sending urgent humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.

The people of Gaza suffered from the worst kind of oppression and humiliation due to the constant aerial, ground and naval bombardment which resulted in the death of more than 1300 Palestinians and wounding of more than 6000 most of which are women and children. In addition, tens of thousands have been displaced due to this inhuman bombardment which resulted in thousands of children without shelter.

Some charity organizations, churches, mosques and mothers from various Canadian provinces have been contacted. The needs of the Gazans are as follows:

Tooth brushes, toys, shoes, clothes and underwear, and diapers.

Clothes for children ages 5-15, taking into consideration the different sizes. Sweaters, pants, jeans shoes, pajamas, and shirts.

Women's clothes and shoes

Miscellaneous needs such as blankets, sheets, pillows, towels, school bags and school supplies.

We thank all the mothers and children for participating in their support to our people in Gaza and we thank all the spiritual organizations for their role in supporting the steadfastness of the people in Gaza.
