easy

Compared to what we did last September, this is a piece of yummy cake.

No complicated logistics, no driving back and forth to Buffalo, no being without our stuff for a week, no sick pup that has to go out every hour. No paperwork, no applications, no money transfer headaches, no car salesmen. No filthy walls to paint, or dust-caked fake chandeliers to remove, or the dozens of other things we did to make the old house livable. And somehow this list is only a vague summary. Although it was incredibly exciting and fun, it was also incredibly complicated and stressful.

Now all we have to do is unpack and get set up. It's a pleasure.

It's going really well. There will be the inevitable trips to Canadian Tire and Ikea coming up, but I enjoy that.

I see while I was in my own world, there was this great story in my hometown (today's follow-up here). Closer to home, the Ontario Court of Appeal issued an excellent court decision, legally recognizing that there are many ways to make a family. Progress.
