we move to canada
Same footage, different angle.Thank you, Allan, for knowing I would want to see this ASAP!
It was an amazing concert --- I watched it from start to finish (1:20 am--imagine that!) on TV last week.
Amy, this show was a Pay Per View thing last night. I think you might mean the 12-12-12 benefit.
Yup---since Mick, Keith and Bruce were all there (plus a bunch of others), I assumed that's what you and Laura were referring to.
This was a regular ol' Stones concert where BS guested on one song.
And at 63, Bruce was a youngest* one onstage!!(* Stones bassist Darryl Jones doesn't count.)
I was wondering why Amy would go for a Stones PPV!
Did you watch 12/12/12? Mick still moves like he's 25. Springsteen was moving and amazing. The Stones only played two songs, but overall it was a great concert for someone like me who still is stuck in the 60s and 70s when it comes to rock music.Best line of the night was Mick's reference to all the old English performers. It was odd that there were almost more English performers than US performers.
I was wondering why Amy would go for a Stones PPV!HA! The 12-12-12 was free---aside from the donation we made to help the Hurricane Sandy people.
And at 63, Bruce was a youngest* one onstage!!Would you look at Mick? Would you fucking look at him? Next summer he will be 70 years old. Still hot as hell. Sure, surgery, suction, miracles that make the hairline stay put and look natural. But behind those smoke and mirrors, the man is still hot as hell. Seeing him and Bruce vamp together, that is priceless.
Oh, the Sandy benefit! Oh no, not my speed.
Did you watch 12/12/12? Mick still moves like he's 25.We have no access to regular TV, and would have little interest in that concert. Some of it sounds quite dreadful. But I see quite a lot of Mick online. See my comment above. :)
Would you look at Mick? Would you fucking look at him?In videos from the two London shows they did in late November, his legs looked like pipecleaners. So thin as to be distracting.
A lot of older men do have skinny legs! Maybe he's already in the weight loss part of old age! :)
A, did you see that Stipe did a duet with that wanker from Coldplay? Perhaps the world really is ending next week. That is surely a sign of the apocalypse.
Lady Gaga guested on Gimme Shelter last night. She had the pipes for the song, but wtf was she wearing? She looked like a zebra on stilts.
That is surely a sign of the apocalypseI hope it happens early on Friday. If so, tonight's my last day at work!!! Woo-hoo!!!
She had the pipes for the song, but wtf was she wearing? That basically sums up all you need to know about Lady Gaga, IMO. If the world ends on Friday, I will be highly annoyed that I went to graduate school instead of spending all our savings on traveling around the world.
Here is the opener on November 25: I Wanna Be Your Man. Damn nice clothes!!! (Legs look almost normal; maybe the other video I saw was compressed somehow.)Also great to hear that Keith is back to playing rock-solid guitar after several tours of either preening to the crowd or being a little too drunk.
His legs do look skinny, but not abnormal. I'd like to think that fedora is being worn ironically. Mick's been known to wear sarcasm before. I hope that's the case, if not... it's bad news. The dreaded fedora.
First concert in a few years, first show of the 50 YEARS hoopla - I doubt he was wearing anything ironically. Also downloaded the PPV, so we can see that if we desire. Huzzah for the internet.
I doubt he was wearing anything ironicallyThen he may be losing his touch. Mick should not present as an aging hipster.PPV, yes please!
