I walked over to the polling station with Tala this morning. (Tala waited outside.)
I had to fill out a form to be put on the voting list. The poll worker said, Are you new to the neighbourhood? I said, no, I'm a new Canadian. It's my first time voting here. Everyone congratulated me and said, how exciting.
I walked out beaming.
I think it's the first time I've said that. I'm a new Canadian.

Congratulations! Vote well.
Vote early, vote often!
Congrats!
You've probably voted by now (or will have by the time you read this), so congrats!
Thank you, everyone!

Luckee!
I'm happy for you, even though in theory I'm supposed to be opposed in principle to voting. ;-)
