what is statcounter? what does it do?
I have a pair of cons and can granola with the best of them. No Birks though, Mephistos have better arch support :P Important for flat footed whores such as myself.

Statcounter tells you how many visitors your site gets daily, where they come from (URL, country, IP address, length of time of visit, etc.), search terms people found the site through, etc.
Sitemeter is another similar service, and I'm sure there are many others.
That's where my "search string" category comes from - the SSOD posts.
