I've read about horses blind in one eye who have a bud who always takes position on that side--to prevent the horse from being--you'll pardon the expression--blindsided....
This reminds me - Halifax (HRM) has just designated their first off-leash dog park for service dogs. The park is fenced-in and on accessible bus routes. I like that the city took a piece of land they had no other use for, and gave it a purpose that a very small community wouldn't otherwise have had.
