sweden, too!

Did I forget Sweden? Whenever a country (or state) gets equal marriage, I usually welcome them into the fold. But apparently I missed Sweden. Ledset!

Sweden is is the seventh country on the planet to recognize same-sex marriages as fully equal. One day this will be so commonplace, it won't be worth mentioning. But until then...

Thanks to the wonderful Slap.

Shortly after you posted about the UN resolution to decriminalize homosexuality which the US opposed, the Obama administration elected to endorse it. Did you catch that?

From the NYT article you linked: "but opponents criticized it as an attempt to legitimize pedophilia."

They protest too much. That is all I've got to say.

There's a cute cartoon on this matter at the local gay political blog, Slap Upside the Head.

David, thanks for that, I knew about it but didn't post an update, as they were all over.

James, I guess you missed the link in my post? :)
