question re house of commons debate

Does anyone know (1) if today's House of Commons debate about the war resisters will be rebroadcast on CPAC later today, either on TV or online, and (2) when a transcript will be available online, how long that takes?

I know I could figure this out for myself, but if you know offhand, you could save me a lot of time and effort. Thank you!

If you watched the debate, as I did, let's hold off on discussion about it until I get a post up, OK? Thanks.

Hansard should be available tomorrow morning around 8:00, or possibly earlier.

If you've got connections in an MPs office, you could get the "Blues", the preliminary Hansard.

The official Hansard won't be online until the next day.

CPAC will not be replaying that debate tonight for sure, and it's unlikely that they will replay it at all as they usually have waay too much programming to fit in (they do repeat Question Period though).

Thanks for the info re Hansard. Tomorrow a.m. will do just fine.

Anyone know about CPAC?

Thanks, Scott - our comments crossed in moderation. I thought you'd know! Are you sure, or is this a good assumption?

Just double checked... they post their schedule online (www.cpac.ca). They won't replay it, for sure.

The only possibility is that CPAC *could* play it on-demand. Unlikely though, but it would be up tomorrow and stay up for a week if they thought it was a "highlight".

Oh! Of course, I forgot... you can see it on ParlVu probably as soon as tonight (if you're interested in seeing it online)...

Go here: http://parlvu.parl.gc.ca/Parlvu/ContentEntityDetailView.aspx?ContentEntityId=4200

After 8pm and choose "View this clip". Sometimes it only gets posted the next day, but often it's up right away.

I watched every second of it on TV. My question was for resister friends who don't have TV and/or cable, but have internet access. I will give them the link! Thanks!

Just to let you know, today's session was extended to 10:30pm, so it'll be available after that, possibly tomorrow if the techs go home right away.

And, of course, it's up now (and was up around 9pm last night). Note that it is unedited, so you have to skip ahead to get to the start and again when the bells ring for the adjournment motion.

Thanks, Scott. I linked to it in a post early this morning.

Oh! I missed that... I only saw the link to the Hansard (which is always a bit more boring as they edit out bits with the Speaker, which often provides dry humor).

I did link to the Hansard, but it's the same thing for our purposes.
