The federal court has denied a stay of removal to war resister Cliff Cornell. He has been ordered to leave Canada tomorrow or face forcible removal.
Supporters in BC are raising hell.
Stay tuned.

Copy of an e-mail to Mr. Kenney, for all the good it's likelty to do...
Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Jason Kenney
Dear Sir
I am writing you with regards to the ongoing removal from Canada of American war resisters.
These are, in my opinion, young people of conscience who deserve a chance to live in and contribute to this country.
You evidently do not agree, and that's fair enough. But may I point out that, notwithstanding the stance you or I may take on this issue, a majority of parliament has voted to allow these people to remain in Canada. That is the will of the Canadian people, Mr. Kenney, and your government is ignoring it. I find that unconscionable and, when it once again comes time to mark my ballot, I assure you I will not tolerate it.
You may note by my ISP that I am a voter in Western Canada, which, in case it has escaped your attention, is your main power base. And you may also take my word that I am far, far from alone.
Thank you for your consideration
Paul (last name signed)
Paul, thank you very much for this. It may not seem like it does anything in the near term, but it does help in the long run. It helps to show the great support for this issue from all corners of Canada. Thanks for taking the time to write and to let me know.
Wow, great letter, Paul, thanks!
