Holiday greetings to you, too. I am also an American living in Canada. I came across your blog accidentally while reading the redoubtable Idealistic Pragmatist's.

It's nice to see other Americans operating in the Canadian blogosphere. Myself, I moved to Canada from Washington, DC about 6 years ago--a refugee from the flood of Republicans descending on the city shortly after the election of George W. Almost immediately I began working for the NDP. Started off working for the provincial party in Toronto and now I'm in an MP's office in Ottawa. There really was no other choice, so far as political parties were concerned. My NDP adventures have proven to be quite interesting, and it's great to have a mainstream left party that I can work for.

While in DC I chose an extended bout of unemployment and bartending over job offers from the Democratic Party.

Anyway. Great to see you hear. I will be reading your posts with great interest.

Thank you, Tom. Welcome to wmtc.

There are many of us ex-pat Americans in the Canadian blogosphere. When we all gain citizenship, the NDP should see a jump in membership!

Smart man. :)

Thanks for reading wmtc. I hope to see more comments from you as time goes on.
