Tala is a little small for me. I don't know her weight yet (vet appt next week) but I'd guess around 40-45 lbs. But she's big enough to put my arms around and hug - and that's what counts.
Plus she's very affectionate and loves hugs - so it's more than OK. :)
Gypsy was big! Almost 90 lbs. She loved to be hugged. Gypsy (Buster too) actually hugged back, by curling their necks over your shoulder, leaning into you, or hooking paws around your arms.
Cody's the only dog we've had who didn't like hugs. Like Noah, she prefers being stroked or petted.

She's beautiful. They both are. She looks pretty big too. Like you, I like big dogs
Aw, you're sweet to say Cody is beautiful. :)

Gypsy wasn't very big wasn't she?
I read some place that most dogs don't like to hug. Noah is okay with it, but doesn't seem to crave it. He likes to be petted.
Now I am thinking about getting another dog.
