what i'm watching: little mosque on the prairie

Are you all still watching? Now that we've seen four episodes, what do you think?

I like it. It's not hilarious, but it's quietly funny, and the characters are being fleshed out more. I thought this last episode, about the convert, was good.

Unfortunately, here in bushland we have to survive on the clips from the website. The show looks pretty funny from the clips, though. Looking forward to watching re-runs when we're in Vancouver . . .

If I were going to import a Canadian TV comedy to the US, it wouldn't be this one. I hear Corner Gas is going global, though - I wonder how Americans will like it.

LMP is nice. So far it's better in concept than in execution, but it's still worth watching.

I am enjoying it. I agree it probably wouldn't be appreciated in the US though. I will continue to watch.

I'm still watching, but based mostly on potential rather than product. I have laughed out loud a couple of times, but I've also winced and reached for the mute button a couple of times.

Stopped watching. I think Corner Gas is worse. But then the only comedy I watch these days is The Office.

I like it...it's one of the few TV shows I watch regularly.

I'm not finding this season of Corner Gas very funny. I really like the show, but I think they may have run out of ideas.

I seriously dislike The Office. Not quite as much as I hate South Park, but almost.

I'm giving LMotP a chance... more because there's a potential of it improving than because of it's existing performance.

I agree that Corner Gas has been hit and miss this year, and I'm certainly not a fan of the Office.

Danny Finkleman's "The Newsroom" however, is superb. Personally, I can't understand the comparisons people make.

I loved The Newsroom as well at least the first 6 episodes. Then it lost its edge too.

i think it is very funny, not sure how non-muslims get all the jokes as some off them are what i think of as inside jokes. but i really like it. thank goodness for Youtube.

Edward, that's cool - that's exactly what Allan and I say about Seinfeld: do people not from NYC understand that joke? And someone else who reads this blog said that about Corner Gas and Saskatchewan. So I guess we're all "getting it" on different levels.

Thanks for stopping by. Free free to stick around. :)
