Mick Jagger, world's hottest 62-year-old.

Every Stones performance I see, I scrutinize Mick for signs of aging. I saw some last night. Apparently he's human.

If you watched yesterday's half time show, you know it was also notable for what you didn't hear: the full lyrics. After last year's Shocking Breast Incident, who would dare expose tender American ears to the word "come".

I see the BBC (above) used a photo that makes Mick look old and tired indeed. He looks a little better here.

But Mick's presence isn't captured best in photos. You have to see him move. Keith and Ronnie looked like they were having fun, too.

Well, it was an enjoyable 12 minutes, not the Stones' best performance (which would be tough to manage in 12 minutes), nor their worst. More importantly, football is over, and I can watch subversive cartoons on Sunday nights again.

The censors weren't too keen on the last word in this verse, either:

One time you were my baby chicken
Now you've grown into a fox
And once upon a time I was your little rooster
Now am I just one of your cocks?

Oh, those bad boys!

I didn't catch that one...Maybe they weren't so up on hiose lyrics since they hadn't used that song in a Microsoft ad. :) but i did catch the dropped word (heaven forbid) in Start Me Up. Was it bleeped or did he just not sing it? Good god, how puritanical is this place?

And Mick was in fine form -- but it was Keith that was starting to look a little old when he was bending over to play at one point. But god bless them...

It was bleeped without a noise. Sounded like "you make a dead man [space], you make a grown man cry..."

Both "Rough Justice" (which Redsock quotes above) and "Start Me Up" were censored.

By this place, you mean...? Network TV? Congress who went crazy after last year's Superbowl showed an "accidental" breast? The US...?

but it was Keith that was starting to look a little old when he was bending over to play at one point.

Chances are Keith doesn't work out quite the way Mick does. :)

I thought Mick sounded out of breath a few times. Plus his upper arms are jiggling. But oh my he fits into those pants well...

Good on Mick for showing some flabby arms. It would be weird if he looked like he was still 27.

Decent show, though it didn't really get going until Satisfaction. Jagger started to get into it a bit then.

I believe the Wardrobe Malfunction took place 2 years ago in 2004.

Even though she was horrible in the Orange Bowl half-time show, I wouldn't mind seeing Ashlee Simpson

Wow, time flies.

Oh, those bad boys!

And yet, "I can't get no girlie action" was allowed. What???

Hmm. I wonder if they'd done Let's Spend The Night Together, they'd have had to sing "let's spend some time together" as they did on Ed Sullivan in the 60s?

G: you and redsock think alike. :)
