My recent post on the US and Canada's flags inspired some terrific comments. You can read them here.

OT, but more on Don Cherry, an article adressing his popularity:

Hey ALPF, long time no link!

Thanks for the links, guys. I'm blogging a little later today, I'll need these.

Since you're in Canada now, and you're writing of the flag, you'll likely begin following Parliament soon (the Fall session is finally beginning). I know I'm pumped for all the yelling and screaming that is soon to come.

So, FYI, here is the latest poll. Looks like the Liberals are widening the gap, scandals and all (sorry Rob, but under Harper the CPCs will continue to fall). What's interesting is Duceppe, a separatist, actually has the highest approval rating in the country ... people may not like his politics (esp. English Canada), but this shows that Canadians are able to recognize the qualities of a good leader, regardless of his/her politics. Which is basically the explanation for Harper's standing in the polls.

I wrote a bit about the last year, and this year upcoming, for the Minority Government, over on LB (in LB style, of course - had to have some fun with it). Stop by for a refresher on the past year and where it's left Parliament, as well as (hopefully) a bit of a chuckle.

Cheers
G

Oh yeah! We've caught a little on the CBC, and it's already great fun. So much better than Congress.

I will do, thanks!
